The fittest survive as many have said. Empathy, and having an understanding for strangers may not be a factor for ones survival needs. I may have that as an individual but as a species it may not be a requirement for survival. It is tragic that historical evidence shows a very dark side of ourselves.

The dark side of human nature is fortunately only part of our nature, but it is a terrifying side; it is to be feared as much as the bright side is to be cherished. The dark side has led to heart-rending atrocities over the face of the planet, nonstop, over the course of human history.

Unless we evolve to be more empathetic as a whole I am afraid that what has happened during our time on Earth the cleansing will continue when we find intelligent aliens in the far off reaches of space.

Here we find humanity to finally venture out beyond our solar system. This may be centuries in the future or maybe even within the next 100 years. Massive space stations and space ships with the ability to travel at 40 percent the speed of light. Telescopes have advanced so well that we are able to detect individual rocks on a planet light years away. We can easily detect intelligence and it just so happens that Alpha Centauri does indeed have this life. We have observed them for may years and the easy conclusion is that these aliens resemble us but have differences physically based on their natural surroundings such as the mass of the planet, gravity, and chemical compositions. It is also suitable for human life but of course adjustments will have to be made as oxygen levels are too high as well as having extreme gravity. The planet is 1 and half times the size of Earth. Land area is small overall as the planet is 85 percent ocean.

The Aliens here have not reached the technological stage yet. They are most likely as advanced as humans were pre Roman Empire days. Arguments and debates have been been held over and over as what to do when humanity arrives. Many have said that we should not go and that we should not interfere. They have said that what ever problems we have on Earth can be worked out. Why did we not terraform Titan which is in our solar system. We already have Mars, the Moon, and Earth so why more and more? Government and large private corporations have stated that the natural resources on this new utopian planet are just too important to ignore. Extremist government officials finally got their way. The Aliens are inferior and they will pose a threat if we allow them to survive.

The Aliens wake up to the double sunrise and they look up. They are undoubtedly troubled as to what they see. Some rejoice as they know that their God has revealed itself. in just a matter of hours the matter has been resolved.

Just an insignificant event in an insignificant corner of a random galaxy in a not a very impressive hidden corner of the universe.
