Aloo Cheese Paratha
Ingredients for Dough:
All-purpose flour 4 cups
Salt 1½ tsp
Oil ¼ cup
Water (lukewarm) ¾ cup
Ingredients for Potato Mixture:
Potatoes (boiled & shredded) 2 cups
Onion (sliced) 1 cup
Green chilies (sliced) 1 tbsp
Coriander (chopped) 1/2 cup
Salt 1 tsp / to taste
Red Chili Powder 1 tsp
Red Chili Flakes 1 tsp
Cumin Powder 1 tsp
Coriander (crushed) 2 tbsp
Paratha Preparation:
Dough
Potato Mixture
Nurpur Mozzarella Cheese (grated) 1 ½ cup
Nurpur Cheddar Cheese (grated) 1/2 cup
Oil (for cooking) as required
Directions for dough:
1. In a bowl add all-purpose flour and salt. Whisk until combined. Add water and oil. Mix well and knead into a smooth soft dough.
2. Cover with a damp cloth and rest for 15-20 minutes.
Directions for Potato Mixture:
3. In a bowl, add potatoes, onion, coriander, salt, red chili powder, red chili flakes, cumin powder, coriander seeds crushed, green chilies and mix it well. Your Potato Mixture is ready. Set aside.
Directions for Assembling:
4. Take the prepared dough and divide it into 4 parts. Make dough balls and roll them out into rectangular shape.
5. Spread prepared potato mixture on one half of this rectangular sheet. Add grated cheese on top.
6. Flip the other half on top and seal the sides by pressing with the tip of your finger.
7. Transfer to a preheated griddle. Once the side is half cooked. Add oil and flip. Cook from both sides until fully cooked and crispy.
8. Cut into small squares and serve. Your Aloo Cheese Paratha is ready.
