How to Make a Copper Branding Iron Handle
I ordered a branding iron head from China. Why use a brand? Because I have pride in my work. Have to say really impressed with the quality of this solid brass little brand head! Had to build a really quick handle for it - went for a steampunk-ish reclaimed copper handle. Does the job and no, it doesn't get too hot to hold. Note that the reason this doesn't get too hot to hold is since the threaded rod is quite thin (about 5mm) - if it was thicker the heat transfer would be too quick and this design wouldn't work. But it's not. So it does. Enjoy and Subscribe!
