Gangnam Station or Gangnam Station Intersection is also used as a term to refer to the commercial districts formed around Gangnam Station. The commercial area around Gangnam Station, along with Myeong-dong to the north of the Han River, is counted as one of the two major shopping districts in Seoul, and boasts a large floating population. Gangnam Station Underground Shopping Mall is located in the waiting room of Gangnam Station. A famous attraction in Gangnam, the area features theaters, large bookstores, great restaurants and shopping centers, all filled with things to eat, see and enjoy. In the Gangnam Station Square (between Exits 11 and 12), diverse events such as street performances and Hallyu star concerts are held. Also, the City Tour Bus, which visits major tourist attractions in Gangnam, departs from here, which is why visits by both domestic and foreign tourists seem to be never-ending.
