Kalmi Tikka with Aloo Tikka
Ingredients for Aloo Tikka:
Half boiled potatoes 1/2 kg
Yogurt 1/2 cup
Gram flour 2 tbsp
Paprika powder 1 tsp
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder 1 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp / to taste
Vinegar 1 tbsp
Tikka masala 1 ½ tbsp.
Oil (for frying) 2 tbsp
Ingredients for onion and tomato puree:
Oil 2 tbsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Tomatoes (cubes) 1 cup
Onion (cubes) 1 cup
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Ingredients for Aloo Tikka Masala:
Oil 3 tbsp
Yogurt 1 cup
Prepared puree
Red chili powder 1 tbsp.
Salt 1 tsp / to taste
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Paprika powder 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Fried potatoes
Ingredients for Kalmi Tikka:
Chicken legs 5
Salt 1 tsp / to taste
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Yogurt 1 cup
Cream 1/3 cup
Vinegar 2 tbsp
Cashew nut paste 1/3 cup
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Chickpea powder 2 tbsp
Cumin powder 1 tbsp
Black pepper powder 1 tsp
Egg whites 2
Directions for Aloo Tikka Preparation:
1. In a bowl add potatoes, yogurt, gram flour, paprika, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt, tikka masala, vinegar and mix well.
2. Marinate for 10-15 minutes.
3. Now stir fry these potatoes for 2-3 minutes. Set aside.
Directions for onion and tomato puree preparation:
4. In a pan heat oil and add cumin seeds, tomatoes, onion, ginger garlic paste and fry for 2-3 minutes or until tomatoes get soft.
5. Transfer them into blender and blend into a smooth paste.
Directions for Aloo Tikka Masala Preparation:
6. In another pan heat oil and prepared vegetable puree. Add yogurt and cook for 1-2 minutes.
7. Now add red chili powder, salt, coriander powder, turmeric powder and cook until oil separates.
8. Now add fried potatoes and mix well. cook for 2-3 minutes.
9. Turn the flame to low and place heated coal on an aluminum cup in the center of the pan. Drizzle oil on it.
10. Cover and let it smoke for 1 minute.
11. Your Aloo Tikka Masala is ready.
Directions for Kalmi Tikka Preparation:
1. In a bowl add chicken, salt, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, yogurt, cream, cashew nut paste, chickpea powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, egg whites, vinegar and mix well.
2. Marinate the chicken for 1 hour.
3. Heat oil on a grill pan and add marinated chicken. Cook each side for 3-4 minutes.
4. Your kalmi tikka is ready. Serve it with Aloo Tikka Masala and enjoy.
