The closure of borders due to the pandemic decimated livelihoods in Cambodia, one of Southeast Asia’s poorest countries and the most reliant on tourism in the region. Meet a group of landmine survivors turned musicians playing at Cambodia’s now deserted crown jewel of Angkor Wat, as well as nearby artisan communities who are hoping to drum up interest among tourists. Meanwhile, villagers from the eco-tourism destinations of Tonle Sap and Mount Kulen are trying to make ends meet, while also struggling with environmental crises that threaten their hopes for the future.
