Hi guys! We're so excited to finally start releasing the rest of our project with the Dover Quartet! We recorded this, along with 7 other songs, back in March at our new studio. We're releasing them all on an album called "Chamber Music", out everywhere on October 8th! They also recorded a whole classical string quartet album at our studio while they were in town, with a live video for each track. That one is called "Encores" and is full of exciting and beautiful movements from some of the most well-loved quartets. That album is out TODAY! The first video from that album is up now on our Brooklyn Classical channel - the Presto from Vivaldi's Summer - and you can watch it here: https://bit.ly/3CLzi5c
Make sure you're subscribed to both of our channels and hit the bell to be notified when we have a new video up. We've been working on this project (arranging, recording, editing, etc...) for almost a year now and we're so excited to finally be sharing it with you! See you on October 8th for the next video!
Special thank you to Casey Schmidt and Northwest Grip for his video expertise.

LYRICS:
When you try your best, but you don't succeed
When you get what you want, but not what you need
When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse
And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone, but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
And high up above, or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try, you'll never know
Just what you're worth
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
BROOKLYN DUO BIO:
Founded in 2014, Brooklyn Duo has quickly established itself as one of today’s most successful classical crossover ensembles. Through its creative arrangements and live video performances, the piano and cello duo has garnered a huge following, with over 1.2 million YouTube subscribers and over 150 million streams annually on platforms such as Spotify and Pandora Radio. Their music has been used in numerous television shows, including Grey's Anatomy, Pretty Little Liars, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, America's Got Talent, and most recently during the 2020 Democratic National Convention.
Members Marnie and Patrick Laird met while students at the same chamber music festival and were married in 2012. Both worked as professional musicians after graduating from the Eastman and Juilliard schools of music, respectively; Patrick as a founding member of popular cello rock band, Break of Reality, and Marnie as principal pianist of the New World Symphony. In 2014, on a whim, the couple recorded two covers and released them on YouTube. They were thrilled when Shakira herself took notice of their cover and tweeted about it. The boost from that exposure and the positive response they were getting on YouTube encouraged them to continue creating videos.
Today, Marnie and Patrick have released over 100 videos on their Brooklyn Duo YouTube channel and 10 albums of covers, spanning artists from The Beatles to Metallica to Ariana Grande. They also have a second YouTube channel, "Brooklyn Classical", which aims to introduce classical music to a larger audience through high quality, live video performances. Brooklyn Classical often hosts high-profile guest artists, including the world-renowned Dover and Escher string quartets, percussionist Ivan Trevino and cellist Cicely Parnas.
Popular classical music stations Classic FM and WQXR regularly share Brooklyn Duo’s music on their social media pages, with Classic FM calling the duo “masters of the artfully planned pop cover.”
