2021 Nissan NV300 Combi – Interior, Exterior and Drive
Nissan is eliminating vans in the United Sates, but they’re alive and well in Europe as the company has introduced the facelifted NV300 Combi.
Looking far more substantial than its predecessor, the updated van has a more prominent grille that is flanked by new LED headlights. Further below, there’s an edgier bumper with revised air intakes and new fog lights.
Additional changes are limited, but the van can be equipped with optional 17-inch alloy wheels. Nissan says they help to further elevate the NV300’s appearance.
Bigger changes occur in the cabin as the NV300 adopts an all-new dashboard that features higher quality materials and a more upscale design. Drivers will also find a new steering wheel, modern switchgear, and a freestanding 8-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
The upgrades don’t end there as the van has an additional 3.1 cubic feet (88 liters) of storage space. Much of this comes from a 1.9 cubic foot (54 liter) storage compartment which is located under the passenger seat.
On the safety front, the NV300 gains new driver assistance systems such as adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, lane departure warning and traffic sign recognition technology. Besides the new tech, there are improved airbags.
Under the hood, there’s a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine which meets the latest emission standards. It’s available in three different outputs of 108 hp (81 kW / 110 PS), 148 hp (110 kW / 150 PS) and 168 hp (125 kW / 170 PS). The base engine is connected to a manual transmission, while an automatic gearbox is available or standard on the higher-end variants.
The facelifted NV300 Combi will go on sale in Europe this May.
