Planting potatoes in untouched soil. The John Deere 8520T from arable farm Klompe of Mijnsherenland in the Netherlands rolls on a track width is 3.15 meters, the soil is cultivated using a Grimme GR hook tine cultivator and then the potatoes are planted using a GB 430 belt planter.
This combination is steered using Raven Europe RTK GPS tractor and implement steering. The method of farming is called 'controlled traffic farming' (CTF). All field work is carried out with the same track width of 3.15m, in order to reduce soil compaction.
