My Secret to Loving New Things? Try Them Twice | Jade Wang | TEDxYouth@GranvilleIsland
My speech attempts to locate and solve a problem that lots of people have in the status quo; why people are so scared of trying new things. In my speech, I dive into a story about how a friend of mine tried a new activity called debate. They didn’t enjoy it at first, and if they didn’t try it again, they would’ve ended up disliking debate. Furthermore, I talk about how this scenario is very similar to the debate journey that I went on. I ended up enjoying debate as well, even if I lost debates, it was still something that I gained a lot of value from.
