At the tender age of 9, this young mountaineer climbed up to Mt. Everest base camp and at 11 scaled Mt. Kilimanjaro. It is through these experiences that she realized how important it is to start early in life and how adventurous activities can prepare us for the life ahead. ``Never trust your fears; they don’t know your strengths,” said Alvira Tripathi, a 14-year-old student of The Shriram School, Moulsari. Ms. Tripathi climbed up to the Everest Base Camp when she was 9. When she was 11, she climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and became the 2nd Youngest Asian to do so. Along with this she has made Know On the Go, a normal knowledge-based board game for children aged 7 to 14 years old. Her social initiative on Water Aerators is actually helping the community save almost 40 lakh liters of water everyday and she believes this is just the start. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
