Yoga is wonderful for keeping the spine flexible and pliable. I practice it every day. However, our muscles, are stronger than the articulations that support them. We are capable of pulling our muscles apart (i.e. with muscle strains during our practice) without proper joint mobilization. The chiropractic adjustment helps prevent those joint articulations from becoming stuck and rigid giving the muscle more range of motion and flexibility without injury.
