今回は、電車でのんびり旅。
栃木県日光市にある「龍王峡駅」から野岩鉄道会津鬼怒川線で「湯西川駅」へ向かいます。
龍王峡は、鬼怒川温泉と川治温泉のほぼ中間に位置する渓谷で、ハイキングコースがあり、四季折々の風景がお楽しみいただけます。

湯西川温泉駅までは電車で10分ほどで到着します。
駅から温泉郷までは結構遠いので、バスやタクシーなどの送迎が必要です。（バスで25分ほど）

今回の宿泊先は、湯西川温泉「金井旅館」。
実は前から気にはなっていたのですが、宿泊料金が安いので、設備面や清潔面で大丈夫なのかなと、少し心配でした。

ですが、今回宿泊して、また行きたいtop3に入るほど個人的にとても好きな旅館でした。

温泉の質、お部屋の雰囲気、お料理、コスパの良さ、接客など全てにおいてとても良かったです。（個人的な意見です）
なぜか昔ながらの素朴で渋い宿に惹かれます。

こちらの旅館は湯治宿として、年配の方に人気だそうで、
特徴としては、連泊をするほど安く泊まれるのです。

温泉の質は、アルカリ性の美肌の湯。自家源泉で源泉掛け流し、毎分300リットルの湯量で、シャワーなども全て源泉です。
河原の混浴露天風呂と男女の露天と内湯、家族風呂があり、露天は貸切にもできるそうです。
内湯はタイル調のレトロな雰囲気で、とても好みでした。

お泊まりしたお部屋もこじんまりとしてちょうどいいサイズ感。
こたつがあるのもなんだかいい。

お料理は、部屋出し御膳で、周りを気にせずゆっくり食事を楽しめます。
まるで殿様気分。
地元素材を使ったお料理で、とても美味しかったです。

またすぐにでも行きたくなるお宿でした。
次は連泊でゆっくりと湯治を楽しみたいと思います。

This time, we will take a leisurely trip by train.
We will take the Noiwa Railway Aizu-Kinugawa Line from "Ryuukyo Station" in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture to "Yunishigawa Station.
Ryuoukyo is a canyon located roughly halfway between Kinugawa Onsen and Kawaji Onsen, with hiking trails and seasonal scenery to enjoy.

It takes about 10 minutes by train to reach Yunishigawa Onsen Station.
It is quite far from the station to the hot spring village, so you will need to take a bus or cab. (About 25 minutes by bus)

This time, we stayed at the Kanai Ryokan in Yunishigawa Onsen.
Actually, I had been curious about this place for a while, but since the room rates were so cheap, I hadn't come here until now, wondering if it was safe in terms of facilities and cleanliness.

However, after staying here this time, I found that I personally liked the ryokan so much that it is one of the top three hot spring inns I would like to visit again.

The quality of the hot spring, the atmosphere of the rooms, the food, the cost, and the customer service were all very good. (This is my personal opinion)
For some reason, I am attracted to old-fashioned, simple and austere inns.

This inn is popular among the elderly as a therapeutic hot spring inn, and one of its features is that the more nights you stay here, the cheaper it is.

The quality of the hot spring water is alkaline and good for the skin. The quality of the hot spring water is alkaline and good for the skin, and it is self-sourced and free-flowing, with a flow rate of 300 liters per minute, and all the showers are also from the source.
There is a mixed bathing open-air bath on the riverbed, an open-air bath for men and women, an indoor bath, and a family bath, and the open-air bath can be reserved for private use.
The indoor baths are tiled in a retro style, which I liked very much.

The room we stayed in was also cozy and just the right size.
The kotatsu (small table with a table over it) was also a nice touch.

The food is served in the room, so you can enjoy your meal slowly without worrying about your surroundings.
I felt like a lord.
The dishes were made with local ingredients and were very delicious.

It was an inn that I would like to visit again soon.
Next time, I would like to stay here for consecutive nights and enjoy a relaxing hot spring cure.
