GM V8 Engine + GF6 Transmission - PRODUCTION LINE

The Gen V V8 engine includes the manufacturing of aluminum cylinder blocks, aluminum heads and crankshafts. The main variants produced are the 5.3L and 6.2L engines. These engines end up in the following vehicles: Sierra, Silverado, Yukon, Tahoe, Escalade and Camaro.

The General Motors St. Catharines Propulsion Plant (Canada) manufactures the V6 engine, V8 engine and the GF6 transmission.

The HFV6 engine includes the manufacturing of aluminum cylinder blocks, aluminum heads and crankshafts. The main variant produced is the 3.6L engine. These engines end up in the following vehicles: Colorado, Traverse and Enclave.

The GF6 transmission includes the manufacturing of prismatics and gears and the assembly of GF6 transmissions.
