Elon Musk has openly stated that Panasonic was dragging down Tesla's production capacity during the Model 3 ramp-up. With plenty of demand for the Cybertruck, Tesla needs a solution fast and Tesla's team knows this. Tesla's recent moves have been clearly displaying an ambition to produce Tesla made batteries.
