To start the day, I went for breakfast to eat Kofte, meatball, which is one of the most famous Turkish street food in Turkey and honestly they were top level.
Şöhretler Beşiktaş Köftecisi : Sinanpaşa, Şair Leyla Sk. 5 C, 34353 Beşiktaş/İstanbul
After that, I went next door to one of the oldest pickles shops in the neighbourhood to drink their juice. The level of street food in Turkey is just the top.
Soydan Turşucu : Sinanpaşa, Şair Leyla Sk. No:9 D:1, 34353 Beşiktaş/İstanbul
To continue my top level street food tour in Istanbul, I went to try fresh Turkish ayran for the very first time since I arrived in Turkey.
Sokak pilavcısı : Sinanpaşa, Mumcu Bakkal Sokağı No:25, 34353 Beşiktaş/İstanbul
Finally, it's time for the biggest doner kebab in the world. I went to this local shop, I saw a lot of people lining up and I couldn't resist the smell coming out of it. Turkish street food is on another level.
Karadeniz Döner Asım Usta : Sinanpaşa, Mumcu Bakkal Sokağı No:6, 34353 Beşiktaş/İstanbul
After that, we headed towards the Saturday market in Besiktas which is located inside a car park. Filled with people, vendors sell all kinds of stuff. From fresh produce, utensils for the house on the first level, and clothes, and most importantly food on the top level. Here we had homemade Gozleme and Salep by street food vendors and salep.
Besiktas Saturday Market : Beşiktaş Halk Pazarı 2 OTOPARK 200
To finish my top level street food tour in Istanbul, I went for some fish as a final meal of the day. What I like about this place is that they have their stall selling fresh fish next door even though a few dishes were not my favourite.
Derya Balik : Sinanpaşa, A, Çarşı Cd. No:20, 34353 Beşiktaş/İstanbul
