Fruit Tart Chaat, Fresh Fruit Mini Fruit Chaat

Every bite of this Fruit Tart Chaat makes you stop for a moment and marvel at its multiple dimensions! It is dainty and handy, served as a tart. It has the flavour and crunch of a chaat, and it has the exciting zing of tangy fruits too! This unique preparation features a tongue-tickling fruit chaat packed into tiny tarts and garnished with sev and peanuts. It is just perfect to serve as a starter or as a cocktail accompaniment. Kids also love this exciting snack , so you can serve it to them after school or as a playtime refreshment during the holidays. Keep the fruit chaat, tarts and garnishes separately, so your kids can assemble it themselves and enjoy.

Preparation Time: 25 minutes.
Cooking Time: Nil.
Makes 17 tarts.

17 readymade tarts

To be mixed into a fruit topping
½ cup pomegranate seeds (anardana)
¼ cup chopped black grapes
¼ cup chopped kiwi
¼ cup boiled and chopped potatoes
¼ cup finely chopped onions
¼ cup boiled sweet corn (makai ke dane) kernels
½ tsp black salt (sanchal)
½ tsp chaat masala
½ tsp cumin seeds (jeera) powder
½ tsp chilli powder
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
1 tsp lemon juice
Salt to taste (optional)

For the garnish
Masala peanuts
Sev

1. Place the tarts, on a serving plate, put 2 tsp of the fruit topping in each tart.
2. Sprinkle masala peanuts and sev evenly over it.
Serve immediately.
