You can alter this recipe too if you wish. For example, a few fresh mangos cubes could be added to make the dish even nicer. We use table cream, but all purpose cream could be used, as well. If you're diet conscious, you could use half and half as it contains less fat. If you find it on the watery side, cut back on the cream a little. The tapioca pearls are optional, but they add a nice touch. Sometimes they are hard to find, however.
