Chicken Tawa Piece
Ingredients for Chicken Preparation:
Chicken pieces 3
Yogurt 1 cup
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Red chili powder 2 tbsp
Salt 1 tbsp / to taste
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Marinated chicken
Water 1/2 cup
Ingredients for Chicken Tawa Piece:
Oil 1/4 cup
Onion (chopped) 1 cup
Tomatoes (chopped) 1 cup
Cooked chicken
Yogurt 1 cup
Green chilies 2-3
Shan Nihari Masala 4 tbsp
Heated coal piece 1
Oil (for smoke) 1 tsp
Onion rings for garnishing
Lemon slices for garnishing
Directions for Chicken Preparation:
1. In a bowl add chicken pieces, yogurt, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, salt, turmeric powder, lemon juice and mix well. Marinate the chicken for 1 hour.
2. In a deep pan add the marinated chicken and water. Cover and cook the chicken for 15 minutes or until 70% done.
3. Your steamed chicken is ready.
Directions for Chicken Tawa Piece:
4. On a preheated griddle add oil and onion. Cook until translucent.
5. Add tomatoes and cook until tomatoes get soft.
6. Now add chicken, yogurt, and Shan Nihari Masala, and give it a good mix.
7. Garnish it with green chilies and turn off flame.
8. Place a heated coal piece in aluminum cup on the griddle. Drizzle oil on the coal piece and cover and smoke the chicken for 1 minute.
9. Garnish it with onion rings, lemon slices.
10. Your Tawa Chicken Piece is ready to serve.
